Chicken Meat for Sale:

Our meat chickens are raised 75 at a time so they have lots of room inside their night time shelter and they have total access to pastures and sunshine all day. We bring them to a small farm near Brainerd for butchering since we need to use a butcher who uses USDA or equal inspections in order to sell our chicken at the farmer’s market. It’s a fairly long drive, but we love supporting another small farm and we are really happy with the way they handle the chickens.

Boneless breasts:                     $5.75/lb

Soup packs:                              $1.25/lb

Eggs, in season:

We raise traditional laying hen breeds that roam freely around our farm.  We currently have Buff Orpington laying hens for our farm fresh eggs, and we are adding Rhode Island Reds for the 2011 season.  You will see our laying hens free ranging any time you visit the farm in Spring, Summer or Fall.  But during the coldest winter months, they tend to stay inside the henhouse (because chickens are very smart). Our eggs are $3 per dozen and are available seasonally.
